Times News Network Ludhiana: Police have arrested four persons, including a woman, for allegedly extorting Rs 65 lakh from a retired PSPCL employee after threatening to circulate his objectionable video on the internet. They also allegedly forced him to hand over property documents. The accused have been identified as Satinder Singh of Brown Road, Ludhiana, Ram Singh Thapar and Michel Thapa of Dehradun and Daler Singh. ADCP Prabhjot Singh Virk said that the accused had an objectionable video of the victim, using which they blackmailed him and extorted Rs 65 lakh. Besides, police said that the accused took property documents and seven blank cheques from him. They added that police got the bank account of the accused, Satinder Singh, frozen. It had Rs 18.70 lakh, which he had taken from the victim. Police recovered gold ornaments worth Rs 20 lakh, an XUV and three phones from the accused. Raids are on to arrest others in the case.
