In last night’s episode, presenters Ant and Dec teased a new concept as they explained that the public vote wouldn’t open for viewers to vote for their favourite to avoid elimination. The Bushtucker Trial saw GK Barry, Coleen Rooney, Reverend Richard Coles and Danny Jones take part in the first challenge where they had to find coins in a box of fish guts. The other celebrities also took part in the trial at the arcade after the first group as they all competed to win the golden ticket. The trials saw the celebrities collect tickets from inside an arcade-grabbing machine. Unlike other Bushtucker Trials, the celebrities were working as a team as well as for themselves. Some balls in the grabbing machine had tickets inside while others had stars - meals for camp. The winners of each trial will go head to head to secure the golden ticket in the final of the trials in tomorrow night's episode (December 5). In the trials, Coleen Rooney, Danny Jones, Maura Higgins and Oti Mabuse were successful in getting through to the final round of trials. However, viewers will need to wait for the next episode to see who wins immunity from the next two public vote offs and a place in the iconic Celebrity Cyclone challenge. Some viewers were not best pleased that ITV had changed up the concept ahead of the Celebrity Cyclone challenge with one saying on X: "Nah, not up for this at all. Taking part in the cyclone is a privilege bestowed by the viewers. You’ve actually ruined a great series by doing this. And we all know it’ll be Colleen." Another commented: "If this is an immunity thing, please don't. It skews the order in which the public vote them out. I'm always suspicious of this. You know who is likely to be up next and are trying to save them unfairly." Who’s ready for a trip to the arcade? The Sudanese army said on Saturday it had retaken a key state capital south of Khartoum from rival paramilitaries who had held it for the past five months. The Sennar state capital of Sinja is a strategic prize in the 19-month-old war between the regular army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces as it lies on a key road linking army-controlled areas of eastern and central Sudan. The army said that Sinja had been "liberated... from the terrorist militia." It posted footage on social media that it said had been filmed inside the main base in the city. "Sinja has returned to the embrace of the nation," the information minister of the army-backed government, Khaled al-Aiser, said in a statement. Aiser's office said armed forces chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan had travelled to the city of Sennar, 60 kilometres to the north, on Saturday to "inspect the operation and celebrate the liberation of Sinja." The RSF had taken the two cities in a lightning offensive in June that saw nearly 726,000 civilians flee, according to UN figures. Human rights groups have said that those who were unwilling or unable to leave have faced months of arbitrary violence by RSF fighters. Sinja teacher Abdullah al-Hassan spoke of his "indescribable joy" at seeing the army enter the city after "months of terror." "At any moment, you were waiting for militia fighters to barge in and beat you or loot you," the 53-year-old said by telephone. Both sides in the Sudanese conflict have been accused of war crimes, including indiscriminately shelling homes, markets and hospitals. The RSF has also been accused of summary executions, systematic sexual violence and rampant looting. The paramilitaries control nearly all of the vast western region of Darfur as well as large swathes of Kordofan in the south. They also hold much of the capital Khartoum and the key farming state of Al-Jazira to its south. Since April 2023, the war has killed tens of thousands of people and uprooted more than 11 million – creating what the UN says is the world's largest displacement crisis. From the eastern state of Gedaref – where more than 1.1 million displaced people have sought refuge – Asia Khedr, 46, said she hoped her family's ordeal might soon be at an end. "We'll finally go home and say goodbye to this life of displacement and suffering," she said. The Los Angeles Lakers have started the new 2024-25 NBA season off with an encouraging record of 10-5. They have looked much more competitive than many would have expected, considering that the team's front office brought back almost the same roster as last season. More news: 76ers Star Joel Embiid to Miss Multiple Games Due to Troubling New Injury Los Angeles was bounced out of the playoffs in the first round last year, but the Lakers believed things would be different this time around — even with much of the same roster. The team added a new head coach in JJ Redick to help fix the problems. So far, Redick has made the Lakers look good, but the roster likely needs more talent if they want to contend for another title. One of the biggest weaknesses for Los Angeles is in the frontcourt. The Lakers have been looking around the league for frontcourt help and they reportedly have an eye on landing a center before the trade deadline. According to NBA insider Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report , Los Angeles has a few names in mind. "[Washington Wizards center] Jonas Valančiūnas is definitely a name that you continue to hear bandied about as a Lakers trade target... Jonas Valančiūnas is definitely available for trade in Washington, we've said that here before, we're going to say that again until he is moved, until he is potentially moved let's say before the Feb. trade deadline. One name that people have thrown out so far when you talk to scouts who they could potentially go to... [Portland Trail Blazers center] Robert Williams III, the return to health, return to the court center in Portland." Valančiūnas has been linked to the Lakers since the offseason and his name has continuously come up for Los Angeles. The veteran big man is currently on a very team-friendly three-year, $30 million deal with the Wizards, making a potential trade between the two sides easier. The big man is averaging 12.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 0.8 blocks per game. Valančiūnas is more of a scoring big man rather than a strong defender but pairing him with star Anthony Davis could do the Lakers wonders. If Los Angeles were to go after Williams III, it would be more for his energy off the bench and defensive presence. Despite being undersized, Williams III is a good defender and strong rebounder. Williams III has played in six games for the Portland Trail Blazers, averaging 10.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game. His presence behind Davis would benefit the Lakers more but it would likely cost more to land him. Either option would be good for the Lakers if they want to improve their frontcourt before the postseason. Los Angeles wants to maximize the final years of the Davis, LeBron James pairing so adding another center could make a world of difference in the end. In the ever-evolving world of football, adaptability and innovation are key to staying ahead of the competition. Only time will tell whether Manchester United's decision to eschew the Sporting Director role will pay off, and if Arsenal's pursuit of Ashworth will lead to a resurgence in their scouting and recruitment capabilities. One thing is for certain – the footballing landscape is always changing, and clubs must be prepared to evolve and adapt in order to thrive in the modern game.
In recent years, there has been a growing concern regarding the protection of minors in various aspects of society, including their rights and well-being. One crucial area where legal intervention plays a significant role in ensuring the proper development of minors is through education and awareness. The "Prosecutors Open Class" series, which has been broadcast on Kwai, is a prime example of how legal professionals are leveraging modern platforms to educate the public, especially minors, about their rights and responsibilities.None
